  • Location Data: GPS coordinates to track ski sessions and show nearby conditions. Location is collected only while you are actively using the App's tracking or conditions features.
  • Device Sensors: Barometer data for altitude tracking during ski sessions
  • Usage Data: App interactions, session statistics (runs, vertical feet, speed)
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • We do not collect data for advertising or ad targeting purposes
  • We do not track you outside the App
  • We do not access your contacts, calendar, messages, or other device data unrelated to the App's functionality

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide ski tracking and conditions reporting features
  • Display your sessions and statistics
  • Enable social features (following friends, sharing reports)
  • Improve the App and fix bugs

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS with encryption at rest and in transit)
  • Photos are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls
  • We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and secure authentication
  • Session data is stored locally on your device and synced when online
  • While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you choose to share sessions or reports with friends
  • With Friends: Users you have mutual friend connections with can see your ski sessions in their feed
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App:
    • Supabase for data storage and authentication
    • Mapbox for maps and location services
    • NOAA for weather data (public government data)
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
  • Protection of Rights: To protect the safety, rights, or property of Bluebird, our users, or the public

All Users

  • Access: View your data within the App's profile section
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data by contacting us
  • Delete: Delete your account and all associated data in Settings → Delete Account
  • Location: Control location permissions in your device settings at any time
  • Photos: Control photo library access in your device settings
  • Notifications: Control notification preferences in your device settings

6. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
  • Deleted accounts: All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Offline data: Synced to our servers and then removed from local device storage
  • Backup retention: Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days after deletion for disaster recovery purposes

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
